Arihia Latham

Arihia Latham (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Waitaha) Is a writer, creative, and rongoā practitioner. Her poetry collection Birdspeak is just out from Anahera Press and her short stories, essays and poetry are published and anthologised widely. She has been an arts columnist for The Post and presents often at arts and writers festivals. She lives with her whānau in Te Whanganui a Tara.

Hester Ullyart

Isla Huia

Isla Huia (Te Āti Haunui a-Pāpārangi, Uenuku) is a te reo Māori teacher, writer and musician. Her work has been published in journals such as Catalyst and Awa Wāhine, and her debut collection of poetry, Talia, was published in 2023 with Dead Bird Books. She has performed at the national finals of Rising Voices Youth Poetry Slam, the National Poetry Slam, and WORD Christchurch. Isla can most often be found writing in Ōtautahi with FIKA Collective, and Ōtautahi Kaituhi Māori.

Khadro Mohamed

Khadro Mohamed is a writer and poet based in Wellington with a Somali background. Her debut poetry collection, We're All Made of Lightning, won the Jessie MacKay Prize for Poetry at the 2023 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.

Ray Shipley

Ray Shipley is an Ōtautahi-based comedian, writer, celebrant, and bookseller. In 2019, they were nominated for the Billy T Award. Ray is a repeat Christchurch Poetry Slam winner, placing third nationally in 2018. Their poetry can be found in the anthologies Solid Air and in Out Here, among others.
