Hester Ullyart

UK born Hester Ullyart is a spoken word performer, writer, director and stage and screen actress who thrives on creating independent work of mixed discipline and collaboration. Original works include contemporary solo theatre noir ‘Paragon Dreams’ (5 dates featured for the ‘Special Event’ at the Auckland Writers Festival this August), ‘Notes on a Migration’ and her award winning lockdown long form film poem ‘I am all the rooms of the house.’ She regularly reviews for Takahē, is published in various poetry and flash fiction anthologies, is a two time NZ Poetry Slam finalist and host of Lyttelton spoken word night ‘Hester Ullyart’s Common Ground’.
