PIP ADAM: AUDITION

Kerry Donovan Brown

Kerry Donovan Brown is a queer, non-binary writer raised in Waitaha. The manuscript for their novel Lamplighter was awarded the Adam Prize in 2012, and more recently, they had a story published in Out Here: An Anthology of Takatapui and LGBTQIA+ Writers from Aotearoa. Kerry writes science articles for BioHeritage and is interested in strange and beautiful morphologies.

Pip Adam

Pip Adam is the author of four novels: Audition (2023), Nothing to See (2020), which was shortlisted for the Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction, The New Animals (2017), which won the Acorn Foundation Fiction Prize, and I'm Working on a Building (2013); and the short story collection Everything We Hoped For (2010), which won the NZSA Hubert Church Best First Book Award for Fiction in 2011. Pip's work has appeared in literary journals and anthologies in New Zealand and overseas. In 2012 she received an Arts Foundation of New Zealand New Generation Award. Pip has facilitated writing workshops in universities and other settings, including with people affected by crime in prisons and communities.
