Ghosts in the Machines: Technology & AI in Fiction

In a future shaped by “intelligent machines”, what can remain uniquely human? Told in the style of a stand-up comedy special, pip adam’s new novel Kluge is a workplace satire about artificial intelligence and the value of a body. In his novel Nova, Tim Corballis explores the relationship between humans and machines in a self-contained world launched into deep time. They join Nic Low (Ngāi Tahu) in conversation.
