Three of Aotearoa’s finest fiction writers return with sparkling new novels. In Emily Perkins’ Lioness, Therese’s life of luxury begins to unravel when rumours of corruption around her husband’s business begin to circulate. Carl Nixon’s The Waters follows one family over 40 years and the fallout of a doomed property development next to the ocean in Christchurch. And in Fiona Farrell’s The Deck, a group of friends escapes to a house in the country where they entertain themselves by playing music, eating, drinking and telling stories about their lives. The three writers join Morrin Rout in conversation.
