Although it is small, it is still precious. Poetry often relies on succinctness and brevity while still containing whole worlds of experience, meaning and connections. In Te Wai Pounamu where the rivers flow with greenstone, poets (and mana wahine) from around the motu and abroad respond to the theme of TAONGA, sharing poems about what is valuable and sacred to them. Featuring Sasha taqʷšəblu LaPointe, Becky Manawatu (Ngāi Tahu), Tusiata Avia, Isla Huia (Te Āti Haunui a-Pāpārangi, Uenuku), Jessica Hinerangi (Ngāruahine, Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāpuhi) and Talia Marshall (Ngāti Kuia, Rangitāne o Wairau, Ngāti Rārua, Ngāti Takihiku). Hosted by Tayi Tibble (Te Whānau ā Apanui/Ngāti Porou).
In partnership with Isaac Theatre Royal and with support from Phantom Billstickers
