What does a Māori spaceship look like? The better question might be: why does a Māori spaceship look the way it does? Join 2024 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction longlisted author Tīhema Baker (Raukawa te Au ki te Tonga, Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai, Ngāti Toa Rangatira) for a deep-dive beneath the surface of imagined worlds. Together you’ll explore how to world-build from the ground up, establishing your world’s core principles and fundamental laws. This is a wānanga-style workshop focussed on discussion and sharing ideas. No preparation is needed and writing will only be shared if you feel comfortable doing so. Nau mai, haere mai!
