The Read Aloud Schools Day is a festival institution that celebrates writing for children and young adults and brings together some of our best New Zealand authors to inspire youthful readers and writers. For school booking enquiries, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year we feature:
10am to 11am*
Recent Margaret Mahy Medal winner Selina Tusitala Marsh (Mophead), comic creator Jonathan King (The Inkberg Enigma), and adventurer Miriam Lancewood (Woman in the Wilderness).
1pm to 2pm*
Esther Glen medal winner Weng Wai Chan (Lizard’s Tale), cartoonist Toby Morris (Te Tiriti O Waitangi) and award-winning writer Tania Roxborogh (Charlie Tangaroa and the Creature from the Sea).
If your school would like to attend either session, please email: email@example.com
*Each session is followed by an optional book signing session where children (and teachers!) get the chance to meet the authors. Books will also be available for sale from UBS.
