Born and bred on a Canterbury farm, Tina Duncan‘s love for food started literally standing under her mother’s apron strings helping to cook for a family of eight. Tina was a founding director of Savour New Zealand, a food masterclass series that brought some of the greatest chefs and food writers in the world to Aotearoa. She then found herself cooking dinner for Antonio Carluccio, Anthony Bourdain, Maggie Beer, Stephanie Alexander and Sophie Grigson, to name just a few. She is well known to Cantabrians as former owner of White Tie Catering where she helped hundreds of bride and grooms and corporates celebrate their most special moments. In her cookbook Plated she shares how to prepare, cook and present your food for maximum effect and minimal stress, ensuring you spend less time in the kitchen and more time at the table with guests. Cooking for Tina is a love language and this book shares her greatest kitchen poetry, the recipes she has used to raise her own family around the table. Tina lives in Christchurch alongside a large family with six grandchildren and still, her favourite thing to do is bring them all together around the table.
