Noelle McCarthy is a broadcaster, a writer and one half of the podcast production company Bird of Paradise with her husband, writer John Daniell. Her latest podcast is Getting Better: A Year in the Life of a Māori Medical Student, co-written with Emma Espiner. She’s currently working on an oral history project called ‘Sex Lives: New Zealand women talking about sex across the generations’ for the Alexander Turnbull Library. She was the winner of the Short Memoir category in the Fish Publishing international writing competition for 2020.
