Micahlei Timo

Micahlei Timo is a 12-year-old flautist, rapper, rugby player and deputy head girl at Chisnallwood Intermediate. A proud Sāmoan with Chinese and Solomon Islands ancestry, Micahlei writes poems that explore her identity as a second generation New Zealand-born Pacific Islander and her love for her beloved Papa Fa’afetai Timo, good food and rugby hero Ruby Tui.
