Lily Duval is an author and illustrator passionate about the natural world. Her illustrated nonfiction book Six-legged Ghosts examines the role of insects in language, art, culture and science. In 2024, her essay ‘The Addington House’ was published in Otherhood. She has illustrated Critters of Aotearoa: 50 Bizarre but Lovable Members of our Wildlife Community by Nicola Toki and Dragons of Aotearoa by Robinne Weiss. Lily lives in Whakaraupō Lyttelton Harbour and spends her free time gardening, crafting and tramping.
