Dr Karlo Mila MNZM is an award-winning poet, writer, mother, researcher and leadership programme director. Of Tongan and Pākeha descent, Karlo often references in her work the experiences of Pasifika peoples in Aotearoa and beyond. Her most recent collection of poetry, Goddess Muscle, was longlisted for the 2021 Ockham Book Awards. She lives in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland with her three sons.
