Jo Burzynska

Dr Jo Burzynska is a writer, multisensory artist, perfumier and wine critic. Her work in these areas has converged in projects that explore aesthetic and linguistic correspondence between the senses. Recent years have seen her increasingly focus on creating olfactory art, and launch her own perfume label, Osmic Resonance. Jo is Wine Editor of the NZ Herald’s Viva magazine, the author of Wine Class: All You Need to Know About Wine in New Zealand (Random House), and is currently writing a book for Routledge based on her doctoral research exploring sensory interactions within art and creative practice.
