Jessica Howland Kany

Born on Manhattan Island (NYC), Jessica Howland Kany has lived on Rakiura Stewart Island for twenty years. Jessica is a graduate of Washington University in Missouri, was the editor of the Stewart Island News from 2005 until 2022, and her writing has featured in Running Times, North & South, New Zealand Geographic and more. A Runner’s Guide to Rakiura is Jessica’s first novel and film rights have been optioned by a major New Zealand production company.
