Join us to celebrate with finalists of the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults for a fun-filled celebration of reading, writing and creativity. Our special guests include Rachel Clare, Jane Arthur, Kiri Lightfoot, David Riley, Rachael King and Juliette MacIver. Come along and meet them all!

WORD is engaging and inspiring the future of Ōtautahi Christchurch with our free session for secondary school students across the motu. An amazing opportunity for students to meet and listen to exciting

 thinkers and writers who are movers and shakers in their fields. Our incredible line up includes poet Dominic Guerrera (Kaurna, Ngarrindjeri), New Zealand Poet Laureate Chris Tse, former All Blacks mental skills coach Gilbert Enoka, legendary writer and illustrator Gavin Bishop (Tainui, Ngāti Awa), Te Awhi Rito Reading Ambassador for Aotearoa New Zealand Kate de Goldi, animator and illustrator Antony Elworthy, fantasy novelist Rachael Craw, journalist Conan Young.
