Daisy Speaks

Daisy Speaks is a youth advocate and proud descendant of Sāmoan orators. A specialist-generalist, she straddles the cultural, government, community and educational worlds. Poetry helps her to make sense of and navigate the tensions between them.

Faith Wilson

Faith Wilson is an editor, writer, and publisher based in Auckland. She founded Saufo'i Press in 2021 where she publishes poetry books by Moana Pacific authors in Aotearoa. She currently works as a project editor at Penguin Random House NZ. Faith is a former editor at The Pantograph Punch and Tupuranga Journal. She completed an MA in Creative Writing at the IIML in 2014, and has published poetry in local and international publications since.

Isla Huia

Isla Huia (Te Āti Haunui a-Pāpārangi, Uenuku) is a te reo Māori teacher and kaituhi from Ōtautahi. Her work has been published in journals such as Catalyst, Takahē, Pūhia and Awa Wāhine, and she has performed at numerous events, competitions and festivals around Aotearoa. Her debut collection of poetry, Talia, was released in May 2023 by Dead Bird Books, and was shortlisted for the Mary and Peter Biggs Award for Poetry at the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards 2024.

Tayi Tibble

Tayi Tibble (Ngāti Porou/Te Whānau ā Apanui) is an award winning poet and writer who has published two poetry collections. She is a graduate from the International Institute of Modern Letters and the 2017 recipient of the Adam Foundation Prize for best manuscript. Her MA portfolio was the basis for her first book, Poūkahangatus, which won the Best First Book of Poetry Award at the 2019 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. Her second book Rangikura was shortlisted for the 2022 Mary and Peter Biggs Award for Poetry at the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. Tayi’s work has been published in various journals and magazines, including Granta online, Starling, The Spinoff, Sport, Pantograph Punch, The Wireless and Poetry Magazine and the anthology The Friday Poem: 100 New Zealand Poems (Luncheon Sausage Books, 2018). Her essay ‘On Being Skux’ is one of the most-read pieces ever on The Pantograph Punch.
