Steve Braunias is a journalist, and the author of 10 books. His latest is The Survivors: Stories of Death and Desperation, his third and final book in a true-crime trilogy. He serves as books editor at Newsroom, and writes for the NZ Herald. He is one of the oldest people in NZ literature.
