Peter Wright is a prolific recording artist, performer and sound artist based in Ōhinehou/Lyttelton, known predominantly for crafting improvised, organically evolving drone textures with open-tuned electric guitars, augmented by layers of effects and environmental sounds. In addition to his solo output, Wright has been a regular collaborator with local and international experimental sonic explorers over 30+ years– current and ongoing concerns include Teen Haters with Helen Greenfield, The Escalation with Bruce Russell & sporadic sessions with free improvisational mavericks DyscheziaTenesmus.
