The Unlikely Librarian, Mike Moroney (Taranaki tūturu, Te Atiawa) spent his formative years listening to heavy metal and traversing the stacks of Pahiatua Library. He now calls Ōhinehou-Lyttelton home, listens to heavy metal, performs spoken word gigs and takes delight in people's reactions to finding out he's a librarian.
