Maurice Manawatu

Maurice Manawatu (Ngāti Kurī, Ngāi Tahu) works for Ngāi Tahu Archives, splitting his time between Kaikōura and Christchurch. He is one of the key drivers of Ngāi Tahu’s wānaka pūrākau, which studies and teaches the iwi’s traditional stories and whakapapa. For many years Maurice owned and ran Māori Tours Kaikōura together with his wife Heather.
