Lawrence Patchett's books include Have this Heart and I Got His Blood on Me, which won the NZSA Hubert Church Best First Book Award for Fiction. Stories from Have this Heart were shortlisted for the Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize and the Sargeson Prize. His writing has also appeared in Landfall, New Zealand Geographic, the Guardian and on RNZ. He works as an editor and in a native tree planting and maintenance team.
