Lauren Quaintance

Lauren Quaintance is a former New Zealand journalist who has had a career as an executive, enterpreneur and board director.

As a journalist Lauren worked as a reporter for The Sunday Times in London, covered the September 11 attacks in New York for print and broadcast media and was awarded a New York Foreign Press Association Scholarship for her coverage of the attacks.

A former editor of Metro magazine and Senior Writer for North & South, Lauren was named New Zealand's Magazine Feature Writer of the Year twice and won more than two dozen media awards for everything from investigative journalism to travel writing.

She obtained a Master’s of Science from Columbia University in New York on a Fulbright Harkness Fellowship, and was awarded a David Low Fellowship to Oxford University in 1999 to research the impact of the internet on journalism.

More recently Lauren was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2018 B&T Women in Media Awards in Australia as co-founder of digital marketing agency Storyation (acquired by NewsCorp) and was named one of the top 15 women in the world in content marketing.

She is currently Chair of ChristchurchNZ and a director for NZX-listed Turners Automotive Ltd, NZX-listed Vista Group International and the Crusaders Super Rugby club.
