John Campbell

John Campbell is Chief Correspondent at TVNZ. In a journalism career spanning more thirty years, he has anchored TVNZ’s Breakfast, RNZ’s Checkpoint and its Saturday Morning programme, and TV3’s Campbell Live and 3 News. He has also reported for almost every news and current affairs programme on New Zealand television. John studied English at Victoria University – and (under brilliant teachers like Bill Manhire, Harry Ricketts and Kathryn Walls) he found a love for poetry there that he gratefully rekindles most days.
