Hilary Jean Tapper is a picture book illustrator, working in gouache, watercolour, pencil, crayon and ink. She is published in New Zealand and Australia, with titles that have reached readers internationally.

Her work has been recognised by the Australian Book Industry Awards, CBCA Notable Book Awards Australia, and Storyline Notables in New Zealand, and published by Allen & Unwin, Hachette, Simon & Schuster (Affirm Press), Gecko Press and others.
