Damien Wilkins is a novelist whose latest book is Delirious, which won the Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction in 2025. He won the 1993 New Zealand Book Award for his first novel The Miserables and has been awarded a Whiting Writers’ Award from the Whiting Foundation, New York. He is an Arts Foundation Laureate. He lives in Wellington and is Director of the International Institute of Modern Letters Te Pūtahi Tui Auaha o Te Ao.
