Claudia Herz Jardine writes, makes music and works for Scorpio Books. She is the editor of the Ōtautahi Christchurch Lit Scene Zine, a monthly digital gig guide for literary events in the region, and a member of pop-punky band Goodbye Starlet. Her debut poetry collection, BITER, was longlisted for the Mary and Peter Biggs Awards for Poetry at the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards for 2024. Her first chapbook, The Temple of Your Girl, was published in AUP New Poets 7. She has an MA in classics with distinction from Victoria University of Wellington, where she won the Alex Scobie Research Prize and a Marsden Grant for Masters scholarship.
