Ariana Tikao

Ariana Tikao (Kāi Tahu) is a writer, singer, and leading player of taonga puoro. She draws upon ancestral kōrero for her music and writing, and often explores the theme of mana wahine. Her book Mokorua: My Story of Moko Kauae was published in 2022 by AUP, and she is currently working on her first poetry collection Pepeha | Portal due to come out in 2026.
