It’s ten whole years since the presentation of the inaugural Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Crime Novel. In that time, the award has expanded alongside the growing number of crime books being published in New Zealand. WORD Christchurch is proud to be a sponsor of this award, and to help it grow year on year. This year, come along and hear from shortlisted writers reading from their books before the presentation of the Ngaio Marsh Awards for Best Novel and Best First Novel by crime writer Vanda Symon. Featuring Becky Manawatu (Auē), Christina O’Reilly (Into the Void), Gudrun Frerichs (The Girl from the Tree House), Stephen Johnson (Tugga’s Mob) and Renée (The Wild Card). All welcome.
COVID-19 update. Ticket allocation is for the current Alert Level. If there is a change back to Level 2 at the time of the festival, tickets booked under the original Level 2 requirements will be given preference.
