Samuel Flynn Scott, son of fellow festival guest Tom Scott, has been at the forefront of the New Zealand music scene for around 20 years. His band Phoenix Foundation has six albums under its belt and has been hailed as one of the country’s best indie-rock/psychedelic pop bands. Fresh from Phoenix Foundation shows in Christchurch and Dunedin alongside the NZSO, Scott chats with producer and musician Gemma Gracewood about song writing and his body of work, which includes solo and other band projects, and soundtrack work for Taika Waititi. He might even play a few tunes.
