New Regent Street Pop-Up Festival

Crowd in, grab a drink and enjoy readings and other antics in the characterful spaces of the coolest little street in Christchurch. Pop in and out or stay in one place – it’s up to you. You can pick from sessions on horror, sci-fi, erotica, poetry, comedy and much more, featuring emerging Christchurch writers and performers alongside well-established local, national and international talent.

If you’re feeling the cold, we’ve got something that will warm you up! Come down and join us for three sassy, sexy poetry sessions. Hollie McNish, Bernadette Hall, Laura Borrowdale and some of our favourite contributors to Aotearotica will be reading their work. We’ll have books for sale on the night, to keep you warm long after the readers have stopped. Whet your wordly appetite with Laura Borrowdale, Doc Drumheller, Nod Ghosh, Bernadette Hall, Teoti Jardine, Annie Potts, Chris Stewart, Rowan Taigel, and Annabel Wilson at the launch of Aotearotica Volume Five.

Meaningful Places at Fiksate Gallery

Journey through time and virtual space. The Commuting Book, UC Digital Humanities, and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu present three digital mapping projects: The Great Map of New Zealand Stories, The Big Online Experience, and the Ngāi Tahu Atlas.

 

This interactive installation will move to The Piano following the New Regent Street Pop-Up Festival.
