TANIA ROXBOROGH: HOW TO WRITE FOR YOUNGER READERS

Creating characters kids care about: writing for a younger audience

Join the 2021 Margaret Mahy Medal winner, Tania (T. K.) Roxborogh (Charlie Tangaroa and the Creature from the Sea) for a workshop that offers ways to create convincing, credible characters children will love, with the focus on stories aimed at upper primary and secondary students. Whether you’re wrestling with a recalcitrant narrator or protagonist, or have a blank page to start anew, come along to this workshop to be inspired, motivated and challenged.

Please note: All events are general admission seating. The safety of our audience is paramount: please arrive early, scan in and wear a mask. Audience numbers are capped under COVID Alert Level 2 and social distancing measures will be in place within each venue.

If you are an existing ticket holder and you are no longer able to attend, please go here for refund information.
