Denise Mina: Masterclass

Please note that this workshop has moved and the time now differs from that advertised in the printed programme.

Plot and narrativesimple tricks to make your reader stay awake for just one more chapter.

In this masterclass for published authors, join acclaimed Scottish crime writer Denise Mina to discuss why plot matters and how to use it, examine narrative shapes and forms, look at where chapters should end and why that matters. What’s the point of hanging questions? How do you keep in mind what the reader is wondering about? The workshop will also look at character and peril as tools for encouraging readers to risk eye strain and keep turning those pages.
