Ghazaleh Golbakhsh is an Iranian-New Zealand writer filmmaker and Fulbright scholar. She has made various award-winning short films including the recent documentary ‘This is Us’ which centred on Muslim New Zealanders for RNZ. Her writing has appeared in publications including The Spinoff and Villainesse and she was the recipient of the CLNZ/NZ Society of Authors Research Grant in 2020. Ghazaleh is currently developing her first comedy feature with Ainsley Gardiner for Miss Conception Films. She has recently completed her PhD in Media and Communications from the University of Auckland after studying screenwriting at the University of Southern California. Her memoir The Girl From Revolution Road was published in September.
